Hello all,
I looked quickly at Micha's web site and found a good bibliography,
but I need quick answers and tools. I hope this is not to
anti-intellectual, asking for simple answers to complex questions.
Also, I don't have access to a library, so I need them online.
Ideal for me would be: One or several brief documents detailing basic
criteria for evaluating and/or certifying impacts and sustainability
of ecotourism projects. I saw last year a survey on the website of, if
I remember correctly, Conservation International, more or less
designed for this purpose. Is there any consensus or any
widely-accepted form of certification (there's something about
Australian certification on Michas website)?
I'd like your opinions about this, as well as another point mentioned
below: How, and by whom, should this evaluation be done?
Thanks,
Dan Lipson
