Clarification:

My current email address is ron@greenbuilder.com - and later this spring I will
have a secondary address as ron@planeta.com. The Eco Travels website address
does not change - it remains accessible via http://www.planeta.com/.

Yes, email addressed to ron@txinfinet.com will continue to arrive in my
mailbox, but I would prefer that you begin using the ron@greenbuilder.com
address. The name Texas InfiNet is being converted to Sustainable Sources and
we will focus more on sustainability, ecotravel, and Latin America.

Some background: Some of you may have seen my email address change over the
past several years (versa.com, txinfinet.com, and now greenbuilder.com). Mind
you, this is essentially the same service, run by the same dedicated people.
While the reorganization of the Austin-based BBS has led to several name
changes, it has always offered (for me) a great service in terms of email and
community forums focusing on 1) Environmental Issues, 2) Latin America, 3)
Sustainable Sources and 4) Tourism. There is local dial-up and I've used direct
access over the Internet from locations outside of Austin.

Let me quote from the Sustainable Sources mission statement:

"The purpose of Sustainable Sources is to provide a solutions-based
environmental site.

"Many of us already recognize that there are problems with our culture's
present
patterns of living, and don't want to spend our time trying to play
environmental
police. It seems that taking on the role of Defender of the Environment is a
step that
many take when we realize the damage being caused by irresponsible actions
around
us. There is nothing wrong with that - in fact, activists have done an
excellent job of
educating the general populace.

"However, another approach that may be more effective is to come up with
demonstrable solutions, and present them in such a way that they are seen by
the
general public as rational, or even inevitable, alternatives. Sustainable
Sources
provides resources that offer practical options to the conventional methods of
building, community, travel, and more. "

I know from the exterior, these name changes may be confusing. But having
access to this BBS for the past three years and carving out the Eco Travels
website, I can't imagine a better community-inspired service as a platform for
my work. If you'd like to see this from the "inside" there's a free two week
trial membership. For more info, check out the following page -
