Background
The AFVP, a French NGO, has been present in Haiti for about 20 years
now, and is currently working on a sustainable tourism project. We are
aware that many overseas Haitians go back ‘home’ on vacation,
therefore/hence we would like to know what are your expectations in
concerning tourism in Haiti.
As opposed to regular mass tourism, we consider sustainable tourism to
be more respectful of natural environment, and also of the local
population, who will the future agents of this tourism. Various
activities are offered, which include cultural, historical and natural
aspects : some small size hosting facilities will be proposed, such as
‘gîtes’, ‘accueil chez l’habitant’ (home stays, paying host…).
The following questionnaire represents for us an invaluable source of
information to conduct our program. This is why we really would like to
thank you for your time and cooperation.
