Subject: Economic Development Institute of the World Bank Seminar

An internet-based seminar on Private and Public Sector Collaboration for
Pollution Management in Latin America

http://www.worldbank.org/ediseminar),

conducted by the Economic Development Institute of the World Bank, has
been in progress since October 13, 1997.

There are over 170 persons registered for the seminar from Latin America,
North America and Europe including government policymakers, researchers,
representatives of the private sector and international organizations,
making it a truly broad-based seminar. A large variety of responses and
information has filled up in the four discussion streams of the seminar.
We will soon begin to put together the seminar proceedings as a hard copy
document, giving details of the discussions as well as more details of
those who contributed or participated. The document will be distributed
to all participants. We would also be acknowledging our appreciation of
those who have contributed to the discussions by awarding a certificate
from the EDI of the World Bank.

As the seminar draws to a close this week, we would urge you set apart
some time to register at the seminar website (if you have not already done
so), review the discussions in the seminar site and share with all of us
your experience, knowledge or views on issues that are of most interest to
you.

We look forward to your response.

With best regards

Adriana Bianchi, Ph.D, Seminar Director
